カタカナプロジェクト

いろいろな日本語の教科書は、「カタカナ」の説明を下のように書いています。昨日のクラスでのみなさんの「発見(discovery)」と比べて同じですか？違いますか？

月曜日の宿題のカタカナプロジェクトの感想文には、プロジェクトをして新しくわかったこと、不思議に思ったこと、びっくりしたこと、おもしろいと思ったことなど、自分の考えたこと／思ったことを書いてください。そして、教科書に書いてあるルールの説明とプロジェクトをしてわかったことと、どう違うのか（同じなのか）を考えて、どうして教科書にはこのような説明があるのかも考えて書いてみてください。
作文は、タイプして（ダブルスペース）、２枚ぐらい書きましょう。


げんき:
“Katakana is normally used for writing loanwords and foreign names.”

ようこそ:
“Generally speaking, the use of katakana is restricted to loanwords, onomatopoeic (sound effect) words, and words the writer wishes to emphasize. Plant and animal names are also often written in katakana.”

なかま:
“Katakana is used mainly for words from other languages, such as keeki (cakes), and words for sounds, such as wanwan (the Japanese word for bow-wow).”

Japanese for Everyone:
“Katakana is generally reserved for words and names borrowed from other languages, excepting Chinese.”

Communicating in Japanese:
“The use of katakana is limited to writing loanwords from the West and to serving as "italics" in Japanese.”
